Sherman C. Morgan, 75, died February 3, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center after an extended illness. Sherman was born October 26, 1942 in Lexington, KY, a son of Floyd Morgan and Geraldine Lucas.
He was a graduate of David Douglass High School Portland, Oregon. He attended General Motors Automotive College in Burbank, CA.
Sherman owned and operated Morgan's Moving Company along with his wife Dixie for 38 years.
Sherman enjoyed traveling with his wife as well as his friends Rex and Judy Rolston.
He also enjoyed camping, fishing, and casinos.
His true passion was his children and grandchildren and was always thinking of others first.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years the former, Dixie Morrison, whom he married June 8, 1968; children, Philip (Kelly) Morgan of New Middletown, Deborah (Michael) Dripps of North Lima, David Morgan of Portland, and Shari Morgan of Portland; six grandchildren, Kristen Bell, Dylan Morgan, Lacey Wade, Kayla Arnold, Mandi Dripps, Mikey Dripps; two great-grandchildren, Saleh and Aria Bell; and one on the way, Oliver Wade; and one half-sister, Fawna Morgan of TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends and family will be received Thursday from 4-6 PM.
at Sovereign Grace Chapel, 2012 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown. A memorial service will follow with Rev. Matt Mager officiating.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Elizabeth Boardman ICU for their care.
Arrangements are being handled by Davis-Becker Funeral Home, Boardman.
