Boardman - Scott Bennett Raybuck, 57, passed away on November 16th 2013,
following a valiant battle with colon cancer.
Scott was born in Struthers on June 14, 1956, a son of Beverly and the late Bob
Raybuck.
He graduated from Struthers High School in 1974 and attended Thiel College when
he played football. He co-owned Raybuck Drywall with his brother, Gary.
Scott loved the Boston Red Sox, ecclectic music, history and the Ohio Canals, his
English Bulldog named Lee Roy, Elmton Pizza, coaching softball, and really, just
living life.
Scott married his middle school sweetheart and love of his life, the former Pamela
Pavlicko on October 27th, 1979. They had two girls - Molly Raybuck (Guilllermo
Chacon) of Seattle, WA and Megan Raybuck (Brian Pushic) of New York, NY.
He is also survived by his mother Beverly, of Struthers, brother Gary Raybuck
(Bonnie) of Boardman, and sisters Patty Marsh (Eddie) of New Middletown and
Kelly Raybuck (Michael O'Dea) of Struthers. He also leaves numerous nieces,
nephews, and true friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Bob.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, 11:00 AM at the Struthers United
Methodist Church with Pastors Doug Theobald and Reid Lamport officiating.
Family and friends may call Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Davidson
Becker Funeral Home in Struthers and Wednesday from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM
the church.
In lieu of flowers, Scott and his family have started a foundation to provide care for
those also fighting colon cancer. The foundation is named after Scott's one true
motto in life, "It's a Great Day to Be Alive." You can donate at any Chase Bank branch
