BOARDMAN - Sarah "Sally" Fenton passed away March 18, 2015, at Briarfield Manor after a short illness.
Sally was born March 29, 1931, in Youngstown, a daughter of Henry and Catherine Stephenson McMaster.
She went to Boardman High School where she was the first girl on the Rifle Team. She was a homemaker and had worked for Morris Sports and Dunham's sporting goods stores.
Sally loved hosting parties, playing cards, tennis, racquet ball, golf, traveling, skiing and reading. Her favorite thing was hanging out with friends and family during the summer at Geneva on-the-Lake.
Her husband, John Fenton, whom she married Nov. 17, 1948, died Oct. 13, 1997.
Surviving her are her sons, John (Hedy) Fenton of Orange Park, Fla., Gary (Pamm) Fenton of Boardman, Mark Fenton of Boardman, and Scott (Kirsten) of Westerville; a daughter, Lorie Dickun of Green Acres, Fla.; a sister, Harriet Burney of Buffalo, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death besides her husband and parents is a son, Robert.
Following Sally's wishes, there will be no services.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Briarfield Manor and Hospice of the Valley in her last days.
