NORTH LIMA âa�" Sara Elizabeth Willis, 94, of Caprice Health Center, formerly of Wakefield and Miller Avenue in Youngstown, died early Sunday morning at the nursing home. Mrs. Willis was born Nov. 7, 1913 in Senecaville, a daughter of William and Bertha Aplin Purdum. She was raised in Senecaville and came to this area in 1937. A 1931 graduate of Senecaville High School, Mrs. Willis was a homemaker and for seven years traveled extensively promoting Keystone Bakery. She retired in 1976. She was a member of Bethlehem Shrine No. 9, where she was past Worthy High Priestess, a member of the former Corem Chapter No. 454, now known as the TRIAS Chapter, and a member of Ruth Shrine in Poland. Mrs. Willis was a member and Deaconess of Faith Community Church, formerly known as Bethlehem United Church of Christ. Her husband, Raymond âa�A"Jackâa�A� Willis, whom she married Oct. 13, 1931, died Nov. 2, 1991 She leaves two daughters, Martha Bell (David) Hawkins of Stow, and Jean (Fred Sr.) Puglia of Youngstown; one son, Raymond James (Susan) Willis of Youngstown; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Frances M. Jones; and one brother, Wesley Purdum. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Faith Community Church, with Rev. Gary Marcy officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Park Cemetery. Friends will be received Today from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland, and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
