NEW CASTLE -- Sandra Lee Carson, 65 of New Castle, died Saturday, April 16, 2011 at ST. John's Lutheran Care Center in Mars. PA.
Sandy was born March 26, 1946 in Union City, PA., a daughter of Russell and Marjorie Shamp Carson.
While enlisted in the United States Army, she earned her G.E.D. and received an honorable discharge due to medical complications. Most of her life she resided in Corry, PA. In her earlier years she enjoyed fishing trips to Florida and home gardening projects.
Sandy leaves her beloved sister, Lorraine Shinko of Youngstown, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be Saturday at 1:00 pm at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers, where friends will be received one hour prior to the service.
Arrangements are being handled by the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers.
