Samuel A. Klem

Samuel A. Klem, Sr., 74 Struthers- Samuel A. Klem, Sr., 74, of 224 East Harvey Street died Saturday morning at his residence after a brief illness. Mr. Klem was born March 8, 1928 in Struthers a son of the late Joseph and Hazel Bortz Klem. He was a 1947 graduate of Struthers High School and a life long area resident. He was an employee of General Motors Lordstown, retiring in 1988 after 25 years of service. Mr. Klem attended Struthers United Methodist Church, and was a member of the United Autoworkers Union, Local 1112. He enjoyed fishing and traveling to visit his family. He leaves a daughter: Barbara and her husband Craig Jones of Ridgewood, NJ; a son: Dr. Samuel and his wife Jeannine Klem of San Antonio, TX., and four grandchildren: Sean and Sarah Klem; and Alex and Jaclyn Jones. He is preceded in death by his wife the former Carolyn Kunce, whom he married March 20, 1954, and who died February 1, 1985; and three brothers: Fred Klem; Ralph Klem; and Joseph as an infant. A Funeral Service will be held 10AM, Tuesday, at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers. Friends may call at the funeral home, Monday from 4-7 PM, and again on Tuesday from 9 âa�" 9:45AM prior to the service.
