Ruth E. Zook

Ruth E. Zook November 22, 1921 - June 15, 2003 POLAND, OH - Ruth E. (Frankford) Zook, 81, died Sunday, June 15, 2003, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia, while visiting her daughter. She was born November 22, 1921 in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of Harry A. and Minnie (Schreiner) Frankford. Mrs. Zook was a graduate of South High School and a lifelong area resident. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother and homemaker. Throughout her career, she worked for the Prince Company of Youngstown, for Commercial Truck & Trailer Co., Inc. of Girard and for Truck Frame and Alignment Co., Inc. of Struthers. She also was treasurer of T.A.R.A., the Truck Frame and Axle Repair Association. She leaves a daughter, Melinda (Charles) Zook Weaver of Blacksville, WV; three sons, Orren W. Jr. (Karen) of Niles; Bruce (Kathy) of Cortland and Karl (Carol) of Boardman; a brother, Harry A. Frankford of Wexford, PA.; four grandsons, Kevin, Adam, Jared and Matthew; one great grandson, Nathaniel; and one step-grandson Brian Tolnar. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Orren W. Zook Sr., whom she married on July 7, 1945, and two sisters, Rose Ann Henry and Mildred Hovanes. Private services were held at St. Charles Catholic Church Tuesday, June 17, 2003. Her final resting place, Forest Lawn Cemetery, Boardman, Ohio. The family requests that material tributes be made to; Friends of Fellows Riverside Gardens, 123 McKinley Ave, Youngstown, Ohio 44509. Arrangements were made by Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland Ohio.
