Ruth L. Wilson

Ruth L. Wilson, 83 Boardman- Ruth L. Wilson, 83 of 7356 Eisenhower Drive died Wednesday morning at St. Elizabeth Health Center. Mrs. Wilson was born February 21, 1920 in Youngstown, a daughter of William J. and Lillie Heckel Jones. She was formerly of Struthers before moving to Boardman. She was a Book Buyer for G.M. McKelveyâa�a��s for 30 years retiring in 1973. She was a 1939 graduate of Struthers High School and a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Struthers. She was a charter member of the American Business Womenâa�a��s Association, Tri-County Chapter, the Youngstown Garden Club, Struthers PTA and Bandboosters.. She was very active as a member of the Aut Mori Caldron, the Aut Mori Patrol Club and the Aut Mori Chorus. In 1989 she was named Daughter of the Year. Besides her husband John âa�A"Jackâa�A� Wilson whom she married June 8, 1940 she leaves one daughter, Deborah Wilson of Canfield and one son, Gary (Judy) Wilson of Struthers and four grandchildren, Jackie, Christopher, Laurie and Cassie Wilson. Two sisters, Thelma Wolfgale and Eleanor Obenauf preceded her in death. Funeral services will be Saturday, 11:00 AM at the Bethel Lutheran Church, Boardman. Friends may call from 5-8 PM, Friday at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers and 10-10:45 AM Saturday in Church.
