Ruth Helen Rohrbaugh

Austintown - Ruth Helen Rohrbaugh, 96, of Austintown, formerly of Erskine Ave. in Youngstown, died Monday, November 12, 2007 in the Briarfield at Ashley Circle. Mrs. Rohrbaugh was born May 20, 1911 in Struthers, a daughter of Edwin and Mary Ellen Steelbergh Parker. A 1930 graduate of Struthers High School, she worked as a hat seamtress for Kohler's Dry Cleaning and as a waitress at the Phil Rose Motel in Youngstown. She was a former member of St. John's Episcopal Church. Mrs. Rohrbaugh loved to sew, make crafts, and help her nieces and nephews with their homework. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Rohrbaugh, whom she married on September 20, 1941. He died on August 3, 1993. Mrs. Rohrbaugh leaves her sister, Alma Macejko of Struthers; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Rohrbaugh was preceded in death by her infant son, Richard Rohrbaugh; and two sisters, Louise Brennard and Betty Miller. Funeral services will be held at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Lake Park Cemetery, Youngstown. Friends will be received Thursday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
