Ruth Moore

Ruth Moore, 83 Struthers- Ruth Moore , 83, of 77 E. Harvey Street Struthers died November 22, 2002 at 3:00 AM at her residence, 77 E. Harvey Street, Struthers. Mrs. Moore was born January 10, 1919 in Struthers, a daughter of Wallace J. and Clara Sweed. She was a life-long area resident. She was a clerk for Bernard Lumber and Yallech Lumber, both of Struthers and then retired from Bernard Daniel in Youngstown in 1978. She was a former member of the Struthers United Methodist Church. Her first husband Alvin Katz whom she married in 1935 died in 1960. She leaves her second husband, Dana Moore whom she married October 6, 1967, one daughter, Judy Stewart of Palestine, Texas; one son, Ronald (Doris) Katz of Youngstown; four grandchildren, Debra Katz, Alvin Katz, David Katz and Darlene Aliberti; ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. One sister, Dorothy Houck, two brothers, Leroy and Buster Sweed and a son-in-law, William Stewart and one great-grandchild preceded her in death. Funeral Services will be Monday, 1:00 pm at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers where friends may call Sunday, from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
