Ruth B. Hum, 99 Youngstown- Ruth B. Hum, 99, of Park Vista, formerly of Poland, died Thursday evening at the retirement community. Mrs. Hum was born July 4, 1905 in Sugarcreek, Ohio, a daughter of Edward B. and Emma Garver Baker. She came to this area in 1925 as a kindergarten teacher at Stambaugh School. She was a member of the Struthers Presbyterian Church, its Womenâa�a��s Association, and a charter member of the Fireside Sunday School Class. Her husband Roy E. Hum, whom she married July 19, 1930, died April 10, 1986. She leaves three nieces, Hope Marguardt of North Canton, Oh., Pauline Ebenhack of Waverly, Oh., and Barbara Fetzer of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and one nephew Keith Bahler of Kinsman, Oh. As requested by Mrs. Hum, there are no services or calling hours. Private graveside services will be held Tuesday and a tribute by Park Vista Retirement Community will be scheduled later this month.
