Ruth A. Engelhardt

Struthers - Ruth A. Engelhardt, 77, of Struthers, died Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at the Greenbriar. Ruth was born July 19, 1931 in Struthers, a daughter of George and Hazel Krimmer Stephenson. She was a life-long resident of Struthers. A 1949 graduate of Struthers High School, Ruth worked at the Youngstown Sheet and Tube in the office and later at Sears. She was a member of the Struthers Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the Struthers Garden Club, the FA Club, the Sears Retirees, and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Ruth enjoyed gardening and needlepoint. Ruth leaves her husband of 57 years, William F. Engelhardt, whom she married October 13, 1951 at the Struthers Presbyterian Church; two daughters, Pamela (Michael) Mitchell of Fuquay Varina, NC and Tracy (Al) Mason of Poland; four grandchildren, Allison Mitchell, Krista Mitchell, Chad Mason, and Kyle Mason; a sister, Dolores Leiter of Struthers; and two brothers, Robert Stephenson and Ken (Joan) Stephenson, both of Austintown. Besides her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by a brother, James Stephenson. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers with Rev. Steve Breazier officiating. Interment will follow at Lake Park Cemetery. Friends will be received Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
