Poland - Ruth T. Bianco, 86, died Sunday afternoon, November 10, 2013 at the Hospice House.
Mrs. Bianco was born August 13, 1927 in Lordstown, a daughter of Warren and Freda Weaver Trimbath.
Raised in Lordstown, Ruth was a 1945 graduate of Lordstown High School and was honored as the homecoming queen. While in her 20's, she worked as a secretary for General Electric, where she met her future husband, John. Ruth and her family made their home in Bellevue, Ohio, until moving to Poland in 1969. While in Poland, she worked as the secretary for 12 years at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Poland.
Ruth was a very active and dedicated member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, volunteering much of her time to many of the church's groups, including the Food Pantry. She enjoyed gardening and telling stories of growing up on the farm with her sister in Lordstown.
Her husband, John J. Bianco, whom she married May 29, 1954, died January 9, 1994. She is survived by three daughters, Kimberley Bianco of Schenectady, NY, Coan Kistler of Columbiana, and Lisa (Cynthia Ford) Bianco of Chattahoochee Hills, GA; son, Craig Bianco of Canfield; sister, Dorothy Miller of Cortland; two grandchildren, Joseph (Ashley) Kistler and Joshua (Morgan) Kistler; and four great-grandchildren, Parker, Theo, and Ruby Kistler, and Mila Kistler.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Viola Trimbath.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 5-6:45 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland, followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Canfield.
