HILLSVILLE - Rudolph J. Bohn, 77, of Hillsville, died Saturday evening at Boardman Specialty Care & Rehabilitation Center after a short illness. Mr. Bohn was born October 4, 1930 in Yugoslavia, a son of Joseph Bohn Sr. and Aloisia (Horvat) Bohn. He came to the United States and to Hillsville in 1952. He worked for Carbon Limestone Company and T.C. Ready Mix, retiring in 1995. He enjoyed working on cars and was a member of St. Lawrence Church. Mr. Bohn leaves his daughter, Kristine Bohn Morris; four grandchildren, Matthew, Timothy Michael, Katie Lynn and Michael Adam; one great-granddaughter, Zoe; four sisters, Elizabeth Ripp of Germany, Eva Ronci of Florida, Anna McCollums of Hillsville and Katharina (Rick) Bigley of Rock Mount, NC; one sister-in-law, Ruth Bohn; 18 nieces and nephews; 19 grand nieces and nephews; and two stepsons, Michael and Peter Carbone. Besides his parents and wife, Marie Carbon Bohn, he was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Bohn; one sister, Mary Cipot; and three brothers-in-law, Martin Ripp, Stefan Cipot and Joseph Schleng. Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland, where prayer services will be offered Thursday at 9:45 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Lawrence Church in Hillsville.
