Ruby E. Munholand, 92, of Struthers, died Wednesday morning December 18, 2018 at Masternick Memorial in New Middletown with her daughter by her side. She was born August 2, 1926 in Youngstown, OH, daughter of Norman and Lena (Metzler) Lehman and had been a lifelong area resident.
Ruby graduated from Boardman High School and had worked as a Financial Secretary for Middle East Baptist Conference.
She was a member of Poland Village Baptisit Church and had been a Sunday school teacher for many years. She enjoyed painting and reading her bible.
At the age of 50 she received her driver's license.
Her husband, Glenn E. Munholand, whom she married July 17, 1946 died May 25, 2011.
She leaves her daughter, Glenda (Nick) Visingard of New Middletown; a grandaughter, Dr. Windy Cole; a grandson Nick (Michelle) Visingard; two great-grandchildren, Laney and Brayden Cole, and a son, Jim Munholand.
Besides her parents and her husband, Ruby was preceded in death by her three sisters, Ruth Doyle, Virginia Snyder, and Louise Hillard, as well as her beloved niece, Kathy Young.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday December 22, at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers with Chaplain Wayne Benner officiating. Friends may call from 9-10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Poland Riverside Cemetery.
Ruby's daughter would like to thank all the people at Windsor Estates Assisted Living for all their love and care. And a special thanks to Tina Munholand for always making Ruby a special breakfast. Glenda would also like to extend her very special thanks to Harbor Lights Hospice for the exceptional care provided to her mother.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests material contributions take the form of donations to Harbor Lights Hospice.
