NORTH LIMA - Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland, for Ruby Jane (Cyphert) Hudran, 96, of Caprice Health Care Center, formerly of Youngstown, who passed away November 18th, 2011 after a long, celebrated life.

Ruby was born on July 11, 1915, in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of the late Melvin and Olive Lucas Cyphert. Ruby was a 1935 graduate of Youngstown South High School and was a homemaker.

Her husband, the late John M. Hudran, whom she married on September 21, 1936, passed away on October 16, 1986, after celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

Ruby loved her family more than anything. She could often be found attending her grandchildren's high school sporting events supporting the New Springfield Tigers or Lowellville Rockets. She enjoyed holiday cooking, slot machines at Mountaineer, watching television, science fiction, Notre Dame football, knitting, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and playing solitaire.

A devoted mother, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she leaves to cherish her memory, her son, John (Karen) Hudran of New Middletown; two daughters, Olive (Dave) Garver of New Springfield and Virginia Bakes of Youngstown; 9 grandchildren, David (Debbie) and Daniel (Cindy) Garver, Monica Bakes and Rhonda (Sam) Gianfrancesco, John Hudran, Todd (Dana) Hudran, and Jamie (B.J.) Chuey, and Atty. Adam Russ and Regin Russ; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, Ruby was preceded in death by a daughter, Veronica Russ; a son-in-law, Richard A. Russ; a brother, Melvin Cyphert; and two sisters, Mary Moschella and Clara Stetson.

Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Caprice Health Care Center and Southern Care Hospice for the wonderful care and support provided during this difficult time. Donations can be made, on Ruby's behalf, to Southern Care Hospice, 5401 Ashley Circle, Suite E, Youngstown, Ohio 44515 or to the activities department of Caprice Health Care Center, 9184 Market Street, North Lima, Ohio 44452.
