Boardman- Rosemary Ann Masucci, 69, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at her home.
Rosemary was born in Youngstown, Ohio on March 29, 1940. She attended school at St. Dominic's and Ursuline and received her teaching degree from Youngstown State University.
She taught at St. Nicholas School in Struthers and then continued her career in Austintown where she taught 3rd grade at Watson Elementary School. Though retired, her memories of days in the classroom were very vivid, and she relished her years of teaching.
Rosemary was an integral part of her family, attending every occasion and bringing love and laughter to each encounter. She was always willing to help out, and she would volunteer to do things even when she didn't feel well. Her family was a source of great pride to her, and she was generous with her praise, supporting and encouraging every endeavor.
Anyone who knew Rose could say she was one of the most gentle people in the world. She had many friends with whom she traveled, taught, and played Bunko, and she cherished them.
Rosemary never strayed from her Catholic faith, and she lived her beliefs, sharing in many faith groups throughout her life.
She leaves her loving brother, John (Judy) Masucci and her sister-in-law, Nancy Masucci, all of Poland. She also leaves her nieces and nephews, Nancy (Mark) Creemer of Medina, Michael (Michelle) Masucci of Poland, John (Kristin) Masucci of Poland, and Lisa (Jim) Knopp of McKinney, Texas. Rosemary was a loving great-aunt to Michael, Katie, and Hannah Masucci, Jason and Brian Creemer, Alexa and Zane Knopp, and Sydney and Samantha Masucci.
Rosemary's mother and father, Michael and Anna, and her brothers, Alphonse and Stephen, preceded her in death.
Family and friends will be received Sunday from 3-6 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home and 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church in Poland.
