Poland - Rosanne M Ferrara, 70, of Poland, died early Wednesday morning at Northside Medical Center Valley Care.
Roseanne was born July 18, 1941 in Youngstown, a daughter of Patsy and Flora DeSanctis Diorio.
She was raised in Hubbard and was a 1959 graduate of Hubbard High School as well as a Varsity Cheerleader. Roseanne worked as a medical assistant for Dr. A.W. Geordan, MD for 41 years retiring in the year 2000.
Roseanne's entire life was dedicated to taking care of her husband, children and grandchildren. Her second dedication was to animals. Roseanne would take precious time to feed wild rabbits, raccoons and even the deer who waited eagerly for Roseanne to take them from her yard to the Poland Woods with her treat of apples in hand. Roseanne's special loves were her bulldogs, Rocky and Brutus, and currently, her son's dog, Titan.
Roseanne leaves her husband of 47 years, Thomas Ferrara, whom she married June 13, 1964; one son, Thomas Ferrara of Boardman; and three grandchildren, the twins, Miranda and Maria Colangelo of Poland, and Michael Colangelo of Boardman.
Besides her parents, Roseanne was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Ferrara; and brother, Roger Diorio.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland, with Msgr. Michael Cariglio officiating. Entombment will follow at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Lowellville.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
