Roseann M. Sylvester, 72 POLANDâa�"Roseann M. Sylvester, 72 of Poland, died suddenly November 9, 2006 in Cleveland. Mrs. Sylvester was born July 28, 1934 in Cleveland, a daughter of Thomas & Margaret Parle Green. She moved to the Poland area in 1996 She graduated from the Holy Name High School in Cleveland in 1951, and also received her bachelorâa�a��s degree in applied science from the Akron University. She also attended the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland. Mrs. Sylvester had worked for the County of Portage, as a Chemical Dependency Councilor, retiring in 1999 after 15 years. She was a member of the Holy Family Church in Poland, where she was a member of its Resurrection Choir. She also was an Eucharistic Minister and Lector. Mrs. Sylvester loved dancing and music. She was involved in community theaters where she starred in Hello Dolly and Mame. Her husband, Albert âa�A"Nickâa�A� Sylvester, whom she married August 10, 1996, died May of 2005. She is survived by four sons, William (Gayle) King of Dallas Tx., Timothy (Susan) King of Dallas Tx., John (Sue) King of Atlanta Ga., David King of Garrettsville, three step-daughters, Ann Sylvester of Poland, Kathy Sanders of Austintown, Linda (Brett) Modic of Poland, Three sisters, Marguerite (Walter) Kawecki of Brookpark, Sheila Novak, of Bainbridge, Madonna (Bob) Marx of Cleveland, one brother, James (Virginia) Green of Sagamore Hills; Ten grandchildren and Four Great-Grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by Three brothers, Thomas, Patrick & William Green, and two sisters, Bernadette Hejduk & Kathleen Turba. One of Roseannâa�a��s passions in life was to help others and nurture them to a point of self sufficiency. Relationship building was something she was devoted to. Her other gifts were those of music, dancing and laughter Family will receive friend Friday from 4-8 at the Cunningham Becker Funeral Home, Poland, where prayer services will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 am., Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10:00 am., at the Holy Family Church, Poland.
