Rose K. (Rossi) Teutsch

Rose K (Rossi) Teutsch passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 26, 2018. She was 89 years of age.

Rose was born April 10, 1928 to Lucy and Patsy Rossi in Youngstown and was a lifelong resident of Campbell, OH.  She was married to Michael Albert Teutsch on August 25, 1956 and they shared a special love for over 61 years.  She is survived by her husband and two children, Caryn (Steve) Chernicky of McMurray, PA and Michael (Lisa) Teutsch of Hudson OH and four grandchildren, Alyssa (Rodger) Davis, Evan Chernicky, Leah Teutsch and Emily Teutsch, brother-in-laws Martin (Josephine) Teutsch, George (Pat) Teutsch, and many nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, and her brothers and sisters, Henry, Angelo and Frank Rossi, Mary Lucido and Lucy Masi.

Rose graduated from Campbell Memorial High School in 1946 and worked for Youngstown Sheet and Tube until 1958 when her daughter was born. She worked part-time through the years as a bookkeeper for various organizations. She enjoyed being a homemaker, baking cookies, playing cards with Carlton Club friends, traveling to enjoy the Opera, helping to host an annual St. Joseph Day dinner,  and being an avid reader.

The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Maplecrest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and home-health caregiver Diana Larson for their compassionate care and loving concern.

Visitation will be from 5-8 PM today January 28th at Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 North Main St. Poland Ohio, and one hour prior to the funeral mass to be held at 11 o'clock  Monday January 29th at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell Ohio. Interment will follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Lowellville.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Saint Joseph the Provider Holy Name Society or the Youngstown Saxon Club Memorial Fund.
