Rose Marie Ringos

d. September 28, 2008

Struthers - Rose Marie Ringos, 78, of Struthers, died Sunday, September 28, 2008 at her residence after a short battle with cancer. Mrs. Ringos was born November 20, 1929 in Struthers, a daughter of Michael and Cvita Kraljevic Banozic. She was a January 1948 graduate of Struthers High School and worked as a teller for the Dollar Bank for over 40 years, retiring in 1995. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church, where she belonged to its Altar Guild and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Dollar Bank Retiree Breakfast Group and the Struthers Historical Society. Rosie loved people and was always interested in what was happening in their lives, making friends easily and quickly. During her "Girls Weekends" with her daughters, they always knew Mom would know more about the drivers, clerks, and the person in front of her in line than they ever would. Rosie and Kell took several memorable vacations during their 56 year marriage. However, their favorite trips were to visit their family. They never missed a grandchild's birthday party and were their biggest fans at sporting and performance events. She leaves her husband, Paul "Kell" Ringos, whom she married August 9, 1952; three daughters, Patricia (Daniel) Beach of Toledo, Cynthia (Steven) Donahue of Saline, Michigan, and Paula (Joseph) Drapcho of Avon Lake; a sister, Anne (Robert) Boano of Poland; a brother, Samuel Banozic of Niles; five grandchildren, Stacie, Kimberly, Benjamin, Adam, and Rachel; three sisters-in-law, Sylvia Ringos, Catherine (Michael) Buchenic, and Anna Marie Ringos; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Minnie and Milica Banozic; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Banozic; and a brother-in law, Thomas Ringos. Rosie's great smile and laugh will be missed by many. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers at 9:30 a.m. and at Holy Trinity Church at 10 a.m. Friends will be received Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. The family requests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions in Mrs. Ringos' name to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Boardman, Ohio 44512 or a charity of the donor's choice.
