Boardman - Rose A. DeCerbo, 97, of Boardman, formerly of Poland, died October 6, 2010 at Beeghly Oaks.
Mrs. DeCerbo was born September 13, 1913 in Hillsville, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Matthew and Louise Manes Gemma.
She was a graduate of Bessemer High School and worked as a nurse's aide in the nursery at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Mrs. DeCerbo was a former member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church and a member of Holy Family Parish.
Her husband, John DeCerbo, whom she married October 9, 1937, died June 11, 1959. She leaves her son, Gerald DeCerbo of Lowellville; five grandchildren, Lisa Pirock of Struthers, David (Jennifer) Wright of Salem, Terry Wright of Boardman, Rosann (Don) Wilson of Struthers, and Carmen (Jenn) DeCerbo of Youngstown; nine great-grandchildren, Kurt, Jeana, Krista, Marcus, Robbie, Marissa, Alissa, Sean, and Adam; numerous great-great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Jean DeCerbo of Youngstown.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert DeCerbo; four sisters; and two brothers.
A memorial service will be held on Monday at 3 p.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers with Fr. Timothy O'Neill officiating. Family and friends will be received Monday one hour prior to the service.
