Rose Mary Toriello Crea, 98 Poland- Rose Mary Toriello Crea, 98, of Poland, Ohio died Thursday morning at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Mrs. Crea was born October 1, 1904 in Foggia, Italy a daughter of Emilio and Diamante DiMucci Toriello. She came to the United States and to Russell Valley, Pennsylvania as an infant, to Struthers in 1919 and to Poland in 1951. Her father Emilio founded Toriello Grocery Store in Struthers. It later became Toriello and Sons and at the time of her fatherâa�a��s death Rose became co-owner along with her brothers. She was a member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, itsâa�a�� Altar and Rosary Society, Infant Jesus of Prague, St. Anthonyâa�a��s Lodge and the Century Club of the Ursuline Mother House. She was a former volunteer for St. Elizabeth Hospital. Her husband Joseph Crea whom she married April 14, 1922 died August 5, 1935. She leaves one daughter, Maria Crea Smith, MD; two sisters, Evelyn Rimedio of Cuyahoga Falls and Vera (Leonard) Schiavone of Boardman; two brothers John Toriello of Boardman, Raymond Toriello of Struthers; one daughter-in-law Audrey J. Crea of Poland and four grandsons, Joseph E. Smith, Edward L. Smith III, Dr. Joseph E. Crea and Stephen N. Crea. One son Stephen J. Crea, two sisters, Antoinette Toriello and Mary Todhunter, DO and two brothers Neil Toriello and Dan Toriello, DO preceded her in death. Funeral services will be Monday, 10:00 AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland and 10:30 AM at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church. Friends may call Sunday from 4-7 PM at the funeral home. The family request that fresh cut flowers not be sent to the funeral home due to her daughterâa�a��s severe allergic reaction and that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Ursuline Mother House, 4250 Shields Rd., Canfield, Ohio 44406.
