Ronald A. Feo, 67, of Poland, died Sunday afternoon peacefully at his home with his family at his side after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.
Ron was born April 24, 1943 in New Castle, Pennsylvania, a son of Rocco and Nellie Mediate Feo. He moved to Struthers as a young boy and was a 1962 graduate of Struthers High School.
He received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Youngstown State University in 1973. While he worked his way through college he was employed by Fischer-Fazio grocery chain. In 1979 he founded Vinyl Factory Outlet in Boardman. He sold the business in 2004 and went into partnership with his son, Jeff, in Feo Contracting.
Ron enjoyed gambling and trips to casinos and his weekly poker club. He collected arrow heads and enjoyed time at his son's farm. He was a life-time member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church in Struthers where he was an usher for many years.
Ron, leaves his wife the former Patricia Clifford whom he married June 23, 2002; two sons, Ronald (Lynn) Feo Jr., of Charleston, SC and Jeff (Donna) Feo of Columbiana; one daughter, Tammy Feo-Garchar and her husband Andy of Struthers; five grandchildren, Autumn and Jeffrey Feo, Gianna, Andrew, and Rocco Garchar; one brother, Dr. Antonio Feo of Cleveland; and one sister, Sandy Feo Cummins and her husband David of Austintown.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday 10:00 A.M. at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church. Friends will be received Wednesday from 4-7 P.M. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland where a prayer service will be held Thursday at 9:15 A.M.
