Poland - Ronald L. Delluomo, 67, of Poland, died Friday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
Ronald was born October 17, 1943 in Youngstown, a son of Michael and Margaret Calabrese Delluomo.
A 1962 graduate of South High School Ron received his Bachelor of Science Degree from San Jose State University. Ron worked for the United States District Court, as a United States Probation Officer for 24 years retiring in 1998.
A United States Army veteran, Ron served in the Vietnam War. He was a former member of the American Legion Post 732, Youngstown and a life member of the VFW Post 6166, Hermitage. Ron was a former coach for the Poland Community Baseball Association, and was a member of the ROMEO Club. Ron was a member of Holy Family Church.
Ron loved following sports. He was a fan of the Poland Bulldogs and Poland Little League baseball, Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, and the Cleveland Indians. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed walking. His greatest joy was his grandchildren.
Ron leaves his wife, the former Patricia Donoghue, whom he married May 10, 1975; one daughter, Lisa (Matthew) Gomon of Poland, two sons, Jeffrey (Gianna) Delluomo of Poland and Greg (Elizabeth) Delluomo of Broadview Heights; one brother, Philip J. Delluomo of Colorado Springs, CO; five grandchildren, Camden and Emerson Gomon, Anthony and Dominic Delluomo, and Grace Delluomo.
Besides his parents, Ron was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen M. Cedarblade and Dorothy A. Corcoran; and one brother, Daniel A. Delluomo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Tuesday, 10:00 AM with Msgr. William Connell officiating. Interment will follow at the Poland Riverside Cemetery.
Friends will be received Monday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland, where a prayer service will be held Tuesday at 9:15 AM.
