Edinburg - Ronald Butch, 73, died March 10, 2017 in St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center. He was born June 27, 1943 in Lowellville, to the late Albert and Mary Soich Butch.
He was a 1961 graduate of Mohawk High School and was employed as a salesman for Superior Chemical. Ron was a very active member of St. James the Apostle Catholic Church in New Bedford, where he volunteered extensively, was a member of the Men's Club and was on the finance committee. He was also a member of the Lion's Club in Hillsville, the Mohawk School Board for many years and the Lowellville Rod and Gun Club. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening and working in his greenhouse. Ron was very involved with his children's activities growing up and will be deeply missed.
He leaves his wife, Andrea, whom he married on September 7, 1968; his son Ronald (Kathleen) Butch Jr. of Poland; daughter, Melissa (James) Biscella of Youngstown; grandchildren, Sarah and Matthew Butch and Alexis and Adam Biscella and his brother, Edmund Butch of Evansville, IN.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Albert, Frank and Charles Butch.
Prayer services will be Tuesday at 10:15am at Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 244 McGill St. Lowellville, OH 44436, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11am at St. James the Apostle Parish, 4019 St. Rt. 422 New Bedford, PA, with the Rev. Fr. James Downs as Celebrant. Interment will follow in St. James Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
