Ronald Allen Aeppli, 69 Poland- Ronald Allen Aeppli, 69 of 8124 Camella Drive, died early Saturday morning at The Greenbriar. Mr. Aeppli was born July 7, 1935 in Struthers, a son of Allen and Edith Knoll Aeppli. He was raised in Struthers and moved to Poland in 1963. A 1954 graduate of Struthers High School, Mr. Aeppli was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving in the Sea Bees. Mr. Aeppli was an electrician for over 42 years, and was employed by the former Youngstown Sheet and Tube and then RMI in Niles. He retired in1998. He was a member and custodian for Bethel Friends Church in Poland. He was a member of Mahoning County Grange in Pennsylvania and the South Carolina Minature Soldiers Association. Mr. Aeppli was an avid gardener specializing in âa�A"hot peppers.âa�A� Besides his wife, the former Gloria Lightbody, whom he married January 27, 1962 he leaves one daughter, Diane (Wade) Mackenstadt of Tyndall AFB, Florida; two sons, Eric Aeppli and his fiancé, Gillian McCormack, of Venice, Florida and Todd (Heather) Aeppli of Charleston, South Carolina; five sisters, Lillian Miles of Youngstown, Dorothy Hughes of Fayetteville, N.C., Joanne DeLisio of Struthers, Nettie Williams of Vacaville, California, and Donna Moulder of Boardman; one brother James Aeppli of Struthers; four grandchildren, Sara and Anna Mackenstadt, Jakob Aeppli, and Kate Aeppli, and two sisters-in-law, Alda (Bob) Pugh of Lordstown, and Eva (Bob) Doyle of Canfield. Mr. Aeppliâa�a��s parents, brother, Edward Aeppli; and his father and mother-in-law, William and Sylvia Lightbody preceded him in death. A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 19,2004 at 4:00 PM at Bethel Friends Church in Poland.
