Ron "Tipper" Pichiotino

Youngstown-Ron "Tipper" Pichiotino, 74, passed away Tuesday evening, August 30, 2016, after a short illness, with his loving family by his side.

He was born May 11, 1942 in Youngstown, a son of Joseph and Frances Snezic Pichiotino.

He attended school in Struthers. Ron was the owner of Tipper's Auto on Cherry Street in Youngstown. Prior to that, he worked for Mogg's Meats, Chuck's Towing and M&T Towing. He then went into business with his friend, Steve Fukon. After Fukon's death, Ron continued to operate a successful business, which he was still operating.

He enjoyed the business, along with trips to casinos, festivals and fairs, or just simply cruising to Geneva-on-the-Lake or just around town. His love for cars was shown by the Cadillacs and Lincolns he has had over the years. He was a very kind person and was well-liked by all. "Tipper" as many knew him, never had a bad thing to say about anyone.

He will be greatly missed by all but especially his siblings; sisters, Sandra Tesone, Debbie (Don) DePaul, and Mary (Brian) Ackerman; and brother, Fred (Barb) Pichiotino; along with nephews, Chris (Maureen) Tesone, Vince (Lynn) Tesone, Eric (Mandy) Pichiotino and niece, Bunny Malloy. He also leaves his longtime friend and employee, Nelson Laboy, whom he worked with for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles.

The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Spratt for his many years of care and compassion towards Ron and his family.

Family and friends will be received on Friday from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9-9:45 a.m. at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market Street.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.
