Roger W. Nock, 79 Lowellville- Roger W. Nock, 79, of 302 W. Wood Street died Sunday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Health Center. Mr. Nock was born June 11, 1924 in Lowellville, a son of Bert and Rose Berry Nock. He lived in Lowellville all of his life. After graduating from Lowellville High School in 1943 he went on to serve in the United States Army, in Germany, during World War II and received the Purple Heart. Mr. Nock was a crane man for over 41 years for Sharon Steel and later GATX retiring in 1984. During his time at GATX he also worked for the Lowellville Schools as a bus driver. He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Lowellville where he served as Usher for many years during 11:00 Mass. He was a member of the Lowellville American Legion Post #247. His wife the former Erma Butch whom he married October 2, 1948 died April 13, 2003. He leaves two daughters, Joyce Cholensky with whom he lived and Linda Nock of Boardman; a son Bert (Patricia) Nock of Lowellville; a brother, William R. Nock of Lowellville and four grandchildren, Connie and Jill Cholensky and Thomas and Shannon Nock. Funeral services will be Wednesday, 9:30 AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Lowellville and 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. Friends may call this evening from 5-8 PM at the Funeral Home.
