Roger Patrick Diorio, 59 Struthers- Roger Patrick Diorio, 59, of 588 Harvey Street died Tuesday evening at his residence after a long illness. Mr. Diorio was born January 24, 1947 in Youngstown, a son of Patsy and Flora DeSanctis Diorio. He was raised in Hubbard and came to Struthers in 1972. A 1965 graduate of Hubbard High School, Mr. Diorio served in the United States Navy from 1965 until 1967. He then served in the Naval Reserves. Later he received his Electrical Engineering degree with honors from Kent State University, Trumbull Campus. He was a machinist for GATX for 19 years, an assistant engineer for Buick, Cadillac and Oldsmobile Division of Packard Electric and then an electronic technician for General Electric. Mr. Diorio was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying both hunting and fishing. He was a wonderful, loving and devoted husband and father and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Besides his mother of Hubbard, Mr. Diorio is survived by his wife the former, Marjorie Ziobert whom he married February 7, 1970; two sons, Patrick Diorio of Hubbard and Paul Diorio of Struthers; one grandson, Paul Diorio Jr., of Struthers; and one sister, Rosanne (Tom) Ferrara of Poland. Funeral services will be Saturday, 9:30 AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland and 10:00 AM at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church in Struthers.
