Rocco Yemma

Rocco Yemma, Jr. 70 Struthers- Rocco Yemma, Jr., 70, of Brandon Ave., died Friday evening at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Yemma was born May 24, 1936 in Youngstown, a son of Rocco Sr., and Ann Retort Yemma. He was raised on the East Side of Youngstown and moved to Struthers in 1955. He was a 1955 graduate of Struthers High School and received his BS in Business Administration with a major in accounting from Youngstown State University. For over 30 years he worked as an auditor for Standard Oil and later BP. Mr. Yemma was a former member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church and in former years was active with Junior Achievement and the Struthers Baseball Association where he coached and served as treasurer. He was an avid Cleveland Indians Fan and enjoyed attending his grandchildrenâa�a��s school and sporting activities. He will be sadly missed by his family, his wife, the former Emilie Annichine, whom he married January 7, 1956; four sons, Daniel Yemma and Gary Yemma both of Struthers, Rocco E. (Denise) Yemma of Youngstown, and Thomas Yemma of Houston, Texas; one sister, Gloria Yemma of Youngstown; one brother, John (Rosetta) Yemma of Struthers; seven grandchildren, Daniel Jr., Vincent, Sarah, Jason, Benjamin, Joseph and Gary Jr.; and one great grandson, Cameron, whom he greatly enjoyed. Funeral services will be Wednesday, 11:00 AM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
