Rocco Paul Miletta, 90, of Lowellville, Ohio, passed away January 3, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
He was born October 12, 1927 in Lowellville, Ohio, son of Bruno and Mary (Malva) Miletta and had been a lifelong area resident.
Rocco had a strong work ethic, which he instilled in his family as well as his determination and perseverance. He had been a farmer his entire life and then was a mechanic at Donnell Ford for 36 years. Also worked at RL Lipton and Howard Bothwell Inc. He enjoyed farming, dairy cows and raising crops. He loved all animals, especially dogs.
He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Miletta of Lowellville, Ohio; four sons, Bruno Miletta of Lowellville, Anthony Miletta of Beloit, Rocco Perry Miletta of Lowellville, and Robert Miletta of New Springfield, OH; a brother, Joseph Miletta of Scotsdale, AZ; his grandchildrem, Stephen Miletta, Melinda Miller, Toby Miletta, Jennifer Fusillo, Philidelphia Howells, Zack Zeh, Kasey Stabinski, Ronald Walker, Jessica Pignatelli, Daniel Miletta, Tyler Miletta, Josh Robert Miletta; Great-Grandchildren, Jayda Benson, Todd Miller, Kristina Fusillo, Angela Fusillo, Nathan Fusillo, Landon Mowery, Savannah, and Emma Howells. he also leaves a special niece, Mary Jean Mazzarella (Grumpy), of Scottsdale, Arizona.
His wife, the former Marion Austin, whom he married January 15, 1952 died August 14, 1978.
Besides his wife, and his parents Rocco was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Miletta; a sister, Mary Pisto; two brothers, Domenic and James Miletta, and a great-grandchild, Clair Miletta.
Friends may call from 4-7:00 p.m. Sunday January 7, 2018 at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Lowellville. A mass celebrating Rocco's life will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Lowellville with Father Larry Frient and Father John Jerek officiating. A prayer service will take place prior to the mass at 9:30 at the funeral home.
