Robert J. Ferrara

Poland - Robert J. Ferrara, 81 of Poland, died Tuesday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center. Robert was born July 2, 1938 in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of Carmine and Gemma (Gagliardi) Ferrara and had been a lifelong area resident.

He was a graduate of Youngstown College and had worked as a Supervisor for Mahoning County Health and Human Services. He was a member of Poland United Methodist Church. He was a Mason and had been a member of Argus Lodge F & AM 545.

His wife, the former Elizabeth Driscoll, whom he married June 30, 1966 died November 14, 2001.

He leaves his son, David (Lisa) Ferrara of Columbus, Ohio; his daughter, Susan (Stephen) Boyd of Rockwall, TX; a sister, Julia Ferrara of Poland; five grandchildren, William, Christian, Hayden, Carson and Andrea. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his four brothers, Joseph Ferrara, Daniel Farrar, Anthony Ferrara, and Allen Ferrara, and two sisters, Emelia Bonis and Mary Ferrara.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 Am Saturday August 10, 2019 at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland with Pastor Ken Gifford officiating. Interment will follow in the Poland Riverside Cemetery, Poland, OH.

Friends may call from 5-7:00 PM Friday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
