Roberta M. (Johnson) Luptak

New Bedford - Roberta M. Johnson Luptak, 74, passed away on November 12, 2016 in the Cleveland Clinic after an extended battle with a number of illnesses. She was born April 10, 1942 in Youngstown, to the late Robert and Mae Moorhead Johnson.

She was a 1960 graduate of Struthers High School. She was employed as a school bus driver for Wilmington Area School District and also worked at Mahoning Bank and First National Bank of Western Pennsylvania. She was a long time member of Evangel Baptist Church where she had been a Sunday School teacher for many years. Roberta enjoyed crafting, woodworking, painting, cooking, baking and playing cards. She loved and supported her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be deeply missed.

She leaves her husband, the love of her life and soul mate, Samuel P. Luptak Sr, whom she married on May 30, 1963; her son, Samuel P. Luptak Jr. of New Bedford; her daughter, Sheryl (Chuck) Wilder of Austintown; granddaughter, Brittany Wilder Miller; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Xander, Brandon and Eonna; two sisters, Ruth (Roger) Hughes, Barbara Johnson and her close friend, Sally; two brothers, Roy (Sue) Johnson and Robert (Jan) Johnson and her sister-in-law, Dee Johnson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Johnson.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11am at Evangel Baptist Church, 5248 Southern Blvd. in Boardman, with her son, Pastor Samuel P. Luptak Jr and Pastor Toby Shope officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Park Cemetery.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 5-8pm at the Davidson Becker Funeral Home, 11 Spring St. Struthers and prior to the service from 10-10:45am on Wednesday at the church.
