Robert "Bobby" J. West Jr
August 9, 1958 — January 3, 2014
BOARDMAN-Robert J. West Jr.,55, known as "Bobby," went to be with The Lord, Friday, January 3rd, 2014 after a long and courageous battle.
Bobby was a loving, caring person, who never met a stranger. His love of life showing through his constant smile. He loved music, golf, working in the yard, and his Harley. Bobby was also an avid Notre Dame fan. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his son.
He was a 1976 graduate of Poland Seminary High School and was employed with R.L. Best for over 20 years.
There are no words to fully describe the man he was, and how much he added to this world. His spirit will live on in those that knew him. He will be truly missed.
Besides his parents, Robert and Barbara West of Poland, he leaves a son, Robert J. West III of Struthers; a sister, Michele (West) Best of Poland; niece, Richele Best of Poland; and a brother-in-law, John Lindsay of Boardman. He was preceded in death by his sister, Karen (West) Lindsay of Boardman, who passed June 28, 2013.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 4-5:45 p.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers, followed directly by a memorial service at 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Bobby's name to the Alzheimer's Association, 3695B, Suite 301, Boardman-Canfield Rd., Canfield, OH 44406.
