Youngstown - Robert W. Welch , 90, formerly of Struthers, died July 27, 2013 at Pembrooke Place.
Robert, affectionately known as "Bob," was born February 17, 1923 in Youngstown, a son of Harvey Bruce and Harriet Lasher Welch.
In his early years, Bob worked as an upholsterer for Goodwill.
Bob enjoyed painting, crossword puzzles, playing checkers and Wii bowling. He also participated in the Senior Olympics and won several medals.
He was a member of Faith Community Covenant Church, where he was a member of the choir.
Bob is survived by three nieces, Linda (Harold) Milligan of Struthers, Sharyn Laurie of Poland, and Cindy List of Brady Lake; and many great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Juanita Roof and June List; and his great niece, Jessica Jasinski.
Services will be held Friday at 6 p.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers, where family and friends will be received from 5-5:45 p.m. prior to the services. Interment will be at Lake Park Cemetery.
