Robert J. Wagner,76 Poland-Robert J. Wagner,76, died Sunday morning at St. Elizabeth Boardman Emergency. Mr. Wagner was born March 12, 1930 in Struthers, son of Norman P. and Louise C. Frank Wagner. He was born and raised in Struthers, before moving to Poland in 1956. He was a 1948 graduate of Struthers High School. He worked for the Youngstown Vindicator for 45 years, before retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Poland United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir for 45 years and was active with the Childrenâa�a��s Kidâa�a��s Klub. Robert served on various committees throughout the years; he enjoyed gardening, fishing in Canada, and the time spent with his grandsons. Mr. Wagner was actively involved in Poland sports, rarely missing a game. He leaves his wife, the former, Joelyn Davis , whom he married June 6,1953; four sons, Richard (Denise) Wagner of Poland, David (Tammy) Wagner of Poland, Bradly Wagner of Poland, and Christian Wagner of Portland, Maine; a sister, Norma (Charles) Uray Jr. of Hudson, Ohio; and three grandsons, Jonathan, Weston, and Andrew. A remembrance service will be Thursday 11AM at the Poland United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends to celebrate Robertâa�a��s life Wednesday 4-8 PM at the Poland United Methodist Church. Arrangements are being handled by the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland.
