STRUTHERS - Robert William Sotlar, 63, died Saturday afternoon, July 5, 2014, unexpectedly at his residence.
Robert was born Sept. 14, 1950, in Youngstown, a son of John and Helen Perhach Sotlar.
He was a 1968 graduate of Wilmington Area High School. Robert attended Youngstown State University and became an apprentice for Youngstown Sheet and Tube. He was a machinist for various different shops throughout the Youngstown area.
Robert enjoyed hunting and fishing with family.
Robert married the former, Nancy Allen on Aug. 23, 1975, and died Aug. 23, 2002.
He is survived by his two sons, Robert J. (Elizabeth Brown ) Sotlar of Negley and Todd (Angie) Sotlar of Boardman and brother, John J. (Janet) Sotlar of Pulaski, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, 11 Spring St. in Struthers.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 5 to 6:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
