Robert C. O'Donnell

Youngstown - Robert C. O'Donnell, 62, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown. 

He was born September 23, 1961 in Youngstown, a son of the late John and Mary Margaret (Barrett) O'Donnell. He was a 1979 graduate of Ursuline High School. 

To say Robert embraced life and adventure without fear is the best way to describe him. He was never tied to one place and often would go where the wind took him. When he lived in North Carolina, he assisted within different fields along the coastline, including delivering sailboats and bartending. He was a skilled mixologist and could even spin the bottles like in the movies. He was also fiercely protective of the ones he loved. Everyone knew better than to mess with him. 

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, the former Cathy Lavorata; and his siblings, Tom O'Donnell of Boardman, and Ann Adams of Winterville, NC.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, John P. O'Donnell and Margaret Alice Jenkins.

Per Robert's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.
