Poland - Robert J. "Bob" Molnar, 30, of Poland, died peacefully Saturday at the Hospice House, with his family by his side after his six year battle with brain cancer. Mr. Molnar was born Thursday, December 22, 1977 in Conneaut, a son of Fred & Mary Molnar. He was a 1996 graduate of Springfield High School, where he played on its football team. He also was a graduate of Polaris Technical School in Cleveland, where he received a certificate as a tool and dye maker. Mr. Molnar worked as a Machine Operator for the Liebert Corporation. He was a member of the Church of the Rock in Poland. He loved football and his favorite teams were the Tennessee Titans and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Bob loved playing cards and was a Texas Holdem Champion, loved video games, and all types of music. During the last 6 years, he coached football for Springfield Local High School, spoke to several support groups and delivered food and toys to unfortunate families for Blessed to be Blessed, and loved volunteering in general. Surviving are his wife, the former Brandy Tanner, whom he married August 10, 2002; his mother, Mary Molnar; two brothers, Michael (Jean) McLaughlin of Brookpark and Fred (Missy) Molnar of Poland; two sisters, Michele (Jeff) Gavalier of Struthers and Renee (Jerry) Hillyer of Madison; his nieces and nephews, Christi, Mike, and Nadine McLaughlin all of Brookpark, Jerry, Sam and Jacob Hillyer all of Madison, and Jeffrey and Brandon Gavalier both of Struthers; his father and mother-in-law, Ron and Bonnie Tanner of Bessemer; one brother-in-law, Brian (Jody) Tanner of Bessemer; and his grandparents, Florence Ramsey of Bessemer and Don and Mary Tanner of Bessemer. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Molnar. Funeral services will be held at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 10:00 a.m., where friends may call from 9:00 - 9:45 a.m.. Interment will follow in the Westfield Church Cemetery, Mt. Jackson, PA. Family and friends will be received 4-8 p.m., Tuesday, August 5 at the funeral home.
