Laguna Niguel - Robert George Mogulich, 57, of Laguna Niguel, California, died at his residence earlier this month.
Robert was born August 5, 1951 in Youngstown, a son of Frank and Viola Mzanski Mogulich.
He was a 1969 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School and attended the University of Michigan on a full football scholarship. At Cardinal Mooney, Robert was named in Parade's "All American High School Team," and in the sports publication Street and Smith, he was highlighted as "100 Best High School Athletes in America." In 1994 Robert was inducted into the Cardinal Mooney Hall of Fame. A knee injury ended his football career and he returned to Youngstown and in 1975 received his Bachelors in Business Administration from Youngstown State University.
Robert began his career working for the Department of Defense as general manager and later vice president of operations for Norris Industries in Los Angeles, a manufacturer of the six pack missiles. From there he became Executive Director for Atlantic Research Corporation, and then Aerojet.
Robert was a former member of St. Stanislaus Church in Youngstown.
Robert enjoyed life, fine dining, and taking long walks on the beach with his best friend, his dog "Max". He will be sadly missed by his family.
He leaves his brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Carol Mogulich of Struthers; three nieces and their husbands, Julie and Dave Phillips of Buffalo, NY, Marla and Mike Pieton of Hubbard, and Monica and Sean Griffith of Monroeville, PA; a nephew and his wife, John and Laura Mogulich of Sunnyvale, FL; great-niece, Abigail Griffith of Monroeville; and his godfather, Frank Petrony of Boardman.
Besides his parents, Robert was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald and Frank Mogulich.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 9th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church in Struthers with Fr. Bob Bonnot officiating.
Friends will be received Saturday from 10:15 a.m. until time of service in church.
