Robert H. McClure
April 25, 1930 — July 16, 2016
Struthers - Robert H. McClure, 86, died at his grandsons residence in Poland.
Mr. McClure was born April 25, 1930 in Struthers, a son of Manuel and Callie Stiles McClure.
He was a 1948 graduate of Struthers High School. Robert worked as a crane repairman for Youngstown Sheet & Tube (LTV), retiring in 1985 after 25 years.. He was a member of the Struthers VFW Post #3538 and he enjoyed gardening. Robert was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Korean Conflict.
His wife, Betty, whom he married June 2, 1954, died July 18, 2013.
He is survived by one daughter, Lynn Osting of Struthers; and one grandchild, Robert (Amanda) Smolko of Poland; and two great-grandchildren, Landon and Hayden
Besides his parents and wife, Robert was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary McClure and Helen Sneed.
Services will be held at Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, 11 Spring St., Struthers, Monday at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Poland Riverside Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received prior to service from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the funeral home.
