Robert C. Luce Sr

Robert C. Luce Sr., 83 North Lima- Robert C. Luce Sr. of Assumption Village, formerly of Pittsburgh died Saturday evening at the Nursing Home. Mr. Luce was born in Cincinnati, Ohio September 11, 1920, a son of Clyde B. and Ellen Gravett Luce. He came to t his area in 2001. He graduated from the University of Akron with a degree in Business and Administration. He was the Manger of Systems and Procedures at U.S. Steel in Pittsburgh, before retiring in 1983. He then worked as a volunteer at UPN Passavant Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was a veteran of the United States Army during WW II. His wife the former Willa Degon, whom he married June 2, 1943, died November 24, 1987. He leaves one daughter, Candice (Robert C.) Padgett of Chippewa, PA; two sons, Robert (Noreen Navizio) Luce of Poland and Jeffery W. (Gale Ginther) Luce of Rockville, MD; one sister, Betty Luce of Cleveland; five grandchildren, Robert C. Padgett Jr., Mandy Padgett Dlugos, Jeffery Padgett, Devin Luce, Allison Luce Schwuchow; and three great-grandchildren, Mia Padgett, Chloe Padgett, and Ashley Padgett. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, William H. Luce. There will be a âa�A"Celebration of Lifeâa�A� service at a later date in the summer. Arrangements are being handled by the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland.
