Poland - Robert E. "Bib" Lewis, 65, died Sunday evening, July 7, 2013, at his home after a four year courageous battle with cancer.
Mr. Lewis was born September 6, 1947 in Youngstown, a son of Robert and Audrey O'Bruba Lewis.
A 1966 graduate of Hubbard High School, Mr. Lewis worked for Packard Electric and Delphi, retiring in 2003 after 30 years of service.
Mr. Lewis was a United States Air Force Veteran.
He had a lifelong love of motorcycles and enjoyed riding his entire life. Bib also enjoyed riding his tractor and cutting his lawn, but his biggest joy in life were his four granddaughters.
In addition to his mother, Audrey, of Fort Myers, FL, Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife, the former Patricia J. Lamb, whom he married September 2, 1967; two sons, Robert E. Lewis Jr. of Poland and Chad (Lindsay) Lewis of Youngstown; sister, Carol Lewis of Fort Myers, FL; two brothers, John (Cheryl) Lewis of Jacksonville, FL and Glenn Lewis of Lehigh Acres, FL; four grandchildren, Brianna, Ava, Olivia, and Isabella Lewis; brother-in-law, Robert Lamb of Hubbard; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Private services were held at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland with Rev. Ronald Royalty officiating.
The family requests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions in Mr. Lewis' name to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Boardman, Ohio 44512.
