Boardman- Robert C. Jacobs, 65, died Monday morning, June 9, 2014 at the Greenbriar Healthcare Center.
Robert, affectionately known as "Bob" was born July 11, 1948 in Youngstown, a son of the late Bales and Olive Taylor Jacobs.
Bob was a graduate of South High School and was employed as a security guard for 40 years. He most recently worked for Youngstown Security Patrol and St. Moritz.
Bob was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church in Boardman.
Always a gentle soul, Bob liked to joke and make others laugh. It was his wish to put everyone else ahead of himself.
Bob is survived by his wife, the former Donna Hughes Phillips, whom he married May 7, 1994; four sons, Patrick and Richard Jacobs and Christopher and Adam Phillips; sister, Debbie Schiffhauer; and ten grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
The family suggests that any memorial tributes take the form of contributions in Bob's name to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Boardman, Ohio 44512.
