Robert G. Duecaster, 84 POLAND- Robert G. Duecaster, 84, of 8858 Woodland died early Monday morning at St. Elizabeth Health Center of an extended illness. He was born in Youngstown on October 9, 1918, a son of Conrad and Mary Shook Duecaster. He was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Duecaster was in the European theatre during World War II on D-Day. Upon returning from the service he attended New Castle School of Trades and formed his building company called Veteran Construction, where he built homes and businesses in the Youngstown area. He also worked at CCC Trucking Company in Youngstown and was a machinist at Wean United, retiring in 1979. He leaves his wife, Mary, whom he married October 6, 1942; a daughter Dinah-Maria Hopper of Danville, KY; a son, Attorney Robert L. (Anita) Duecaster of Manassas, VA; one sister, Francis (John) Weber of Boardman; and four grandchildren, Rachel, Shaina, Aaron, and Joshua. A private graveside memorial service will be held Saturday March 1 at Lake Park Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland.
