Robert H. Christ

Robert H. Christ, 72 New Middletown- Robert H. Christ, 72, died Friday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center. Mr. Christ was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania January 5, 1932, a son of George and Agnes Myers Christ. He was a 1951 graduate of Struthers High School. He was a Pipefitter for Republic Steel (LTV) for 30 years, retiring in 1978. He was an avid bowler and a veteran of the United States Navy. His wife the former Mattie Zetts, whom he married in 1963, died in 1989. He leaves one sister, Peggy Stevens of New Middletown; one brother, Charles (Nancy) Christ of Chicago; two nieces, Colleen (Gene) Smith of Boardman and Kelly Stevens of Houston; and two nephews, Robert (Nancy) Christ and William (Andrea) Christ both of Chicago. Funeral services will be Monday 1 PM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers. Friends may call Sunday from 4-7PM at the funeral home.
