Robert H. Bayne

Boardman - Robert H. Bayne, 81, died January 19, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.

Mr.Bayne was born July 3, 1932 in Youngstown, son of John and Dorothy Knuth Bayne.

He was a 1950 graduate of Boardman High School. Bob worked as a facility specialist for AT&T, where he retired in 1993. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Boardman. Bob was also a member of Telephone Pioneers of America and was a 50 year member of the Argus Masonic Lodge.
Bob was a veteran of the United States Army, where he was stationed in Alaska. He enjoyed camping and was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, the former Grace Kidd, whom he married Nov. 5, 1960; two sons, Ronald (Susan) Bayne of Medina,OH and Robert (Karen) Bayne of Fountain Hills, AZ; five grandchildren, Alyssa, Ryan, Emily, Katie, and James; and a host of friends and neighbors.

Besides his parents, Bob was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Dianne; a sister, Verna Bayne; and a daughter-in-law, Patty Bayne.

Services will be held at the new Davis-Becker Funeral Home in Boardman, Thursday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Richard Kidd officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Friends and family will be received Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Thursday from 10:00AM to10:45AM at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank Dr. Ricciardi and the caregivers at Vibra, St. Elizabeth's, and Shepherd of the Valley in Boardman for their excellent care.
