Lowellville - Robert A. Arp, 77, died Monday morning, March 17, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
Mr. Arp was born January 4, 1937 in Lowellville, a son of Gus and Minnie Boland Arp.
He attended Lowellville High School and worked in maintenance for Falcon Foundry, retiring in 1998 after 35 years of service. He was a member of the former First Presbyterian Church in Lowellville, where he served as a deacon.
He leaves his wife, the former Mary Jean Messina, whom he married July 8, 1967; three sisters, Doris Burns, Nevada Colaneri, and Phyllis (Chuck) Jacobson, all of Lowellville; two brothers, Donald (Jane) Arp of Albuquerque, NM and Kenneth (Joan) Arp of Girard; his wonderful sister-in-law, Betsy Bovo of Struthers; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Laverne Flora.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers. Interment will be at Lowellville Cemetery.
