Poland- Richard “Dick” DelSignore, 77, formerly of Youngstown passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Boardman, with his loving family by his side.
Dick was born March 17, 1939 in Youngstown, a son of the late Jack and Anna DelSignore.
He attended Ursuline High School, worked for the A&P Warehouse and later was self-employed.
He was an avid football fan, who enjoyed following his families sports careers. During the 1970’s he coached for the West Side Colts Youth Football Organization and he was a great Alabama football fan.
Dick enjoyed music and weekend car rides to Geneva-on-the Lake. He also enjoyed yard work and spending time with his family and his faithful dog “Toby”
Dick is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Shirley Cramer DelSignore, whom he married March 17, 1964; his sons, Richard J. (Susan) DelSignore of Flower Mound, TX and Michael A. DelSignore of Columbiana; four grandchildren, Annie and Olivia DelSignore of Flower Mound, TX, and Nicholas and Ava DelSignore of Columbiana; brothers, Dominic (Nancy) DelSignore of Naperville, IL, Dave DelSignore of Dallas, TX; sisters, Katherine (Lou “Red”) Angelo of Youngstown, Virginia Shon of Clearwater, FL; sister-in-law, Edith Cramer of Cortland, and former daughter in law Marlene DelSignore ; 15 special nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Dick was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Marie; sister Rose DeNiro; sister-in-law, Connie DelSignore; brother-in-laws, Carl “Duke” DeNiro, Sam Shon, and Russell J. Cramer; and nephew Mike DeNiro.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Elizabeth’s for all the care and compassion shown to them and Dick during his time with them.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00AM at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market St., Boardman. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown.
Friends and family will be received Sunday from 1-4PM and Monday from 10-10:45AM at the funeral home.
